Diet really is one of the foundational building blocks to good health. They don’t say “you are what you eat” for nothing. But what is a healthy diet?

I have so many people come to me that are very confused. There is so much information on the internet and they don’t know what to eat! The real answer is that there isn’t one particular diet that is good for everyone. Each person has different absorption, assimilation of nutrients and health.

Most well balanced diets should focus on a balance of macronutrients, micronutrients and good hydration with lots of anti-oxidants. Anti-oxidants are found in high levels in fruit and vegetables and are anti-aging and anti-cancer. So many people do not eat enough vegetables!

Eating the right kinds of proteins, fats and carbohydrates are really the key to maintaining your health and wellbeing while aging.
