Immune Boosting this Winter

With the rise of viruses like COVID-19 and influenza, it is important to boost your immune system this winter. Did you know that virus droplets can travel 8 metres when someone sneezes... that’s a little scary, isn’t it!

Here are some key symptom differences and similarities between some common viruses:

If you happen to get any infection, it is important to allow your body to rest and convalesce, which involves minimal or no exercise, time off work or school, plenty of sleep, lots of water and good food, including chicken soup (yes it actually works!) and bone broth and veggies. If you do these things it should help you feel better faster, but if you push through, it could delay your recovery.

Nutrients to help you boost your immunity to treat or prevent a virus or infection include vitamins A, C, D and E, zinc, medicinal mushrooms, N-acetyl-cysteine, green tea, herbal medicine and immune-enhancing probiotics.

Some great formulations can help to prevent and treat infections if they occur. Deborah offers 15-minute acute (short) consultations that can help you treat any infection.
